LAG Exhibit Policy

1. Member dues must be current to be eligible to exhibit at Longmont Artists’ Guild sponsored exhibits.


2. Artwork must be ready for display, be dry, suitably framed and sufficiently wired for hanging - no saw tooth hangers and no bare glass edges. Painted gallery wrapped work is acceptable.


3. Artwork must be proplerly identified with a card on the front with the artist’s name and phone, title and price. If a work is not for sale, this should be clearly stated.


4. For most exhibits, they buyer will contact the artist directly. If work is sold or is to be otherwise removed from an exhibit, the Exhibit Chairperson must be contacted.


5. The Guild receives 20% commission on any artwork sold through a Guild sponsored exhibit. Exception. The Great Frame Up. The artist is responsible for remitting the commission to the Guild.


6. Sales tax must be collected on all sales. Sales tax may be remitted with the commission to the Guild. The Longmont sales tax rate changes periodically.


7. Member artists will deliver and pick up artwork at the designated time and place (or make prior arrangements).


8. All artwork will be handled with care. Submission of artwork for echibit automatically waives any claim for damage or loss against the Longmont Artists’ Guild, its members or assigns.


9. Artwork must have been completed within the last 2 years.


10. Giclees can only be displayed as bin work.


Failure to comply with the above could result in loss of eligibility for future Guild sponsored exhibits.
