Curious about screen printing? Come get inky with us! This fun, hands-on workshop will walk you through the basics— materials, setup, and process behind screen printing—opening up a world of possibilities for mass-producing your artwork or adding unique printed elements to your existing pieces.
We’ll cover everything from ink, squeegees, and paper selection to registration, layering, and different printing surfaces. You’ll also get hands-on experience with the two main methods for transferring your art to a screen: the drawing fluid method and screen burning method.
Best of all? You’ll get to print your own design and take home a finished piece!
What You’ll Learn & Create
✅ The versatility and creative potential of screen printing
✅ How to set up your workspace and select the right materials (paper, ink, screens, emulsions, etc.)
✅ How to prepare a screen with your artwork
✅ How to register your print for clean, consistent results
✅ How to print your own black-and-white design (or maybe even two if time allows!) using screens provided by the artist
All materials are provided, but feel free to bring your own smooth paper or fabric if you want to experiment!
Meet Your Instructor: Sean Nichols
Sean Nichols is a printmaker and illustrator from Eaton, Colorado, with a love for insects, science fiction, and all things printmaking. With over a decade of experience, Sean specializes in block and screen printing, monotypes, and cyanotypes. His work is inspired by science, satire, and the absurd, creating layered compositions that blend the past, present, and future. He holds degrees in printmaking and art history from the University of Northern Colorado and has been printing in Greeley for years.

All registrations for Enter the World of Screen Printing: A Hands-On Workshop with Sean Nichols are non-refundable. Due to limited space and the upfront costs of materials and planning, we are unable to offer refunds for cancellations or no-shows.
This workshop is for participants 18 and older.
If you are unable to attend, you may transfer your spot to someone else—please notify us in advance to make arrangements. In the rare event that the workshop is canceled by the organizers, registered participants will receive a full refund or the option to apply their payment to a future event.
