Show Judge: Cathay Faughnan, Painter
Cathy grew up in Pueblo CO watching and learning to sew from her mother turned textile artist. She attended the University of Colorado and received a degree in Environmental Design with many classes in art, design and art history.
Cathy describes her paintings as bold modern impressionism. She loves strong colors and is inspired by the west and especially Colorado painting landscapes, florals and animals found in our beloved state. Much of her work is created in our cabin near Estes Park where she is endlessly fascinated by the rocks, trees, and vistas I see out my window and while hiking. Her unique use of color, texture and layering sets her work apart and hopefully brings joy to those who see her work.
Please email the Shows Director, Sean Nichols, with any questions about the show.
This event promises to be a celebration of creativity and talent within the Longmont Artists’ Guild community. We encourage all members to participate and showcase their exceptional artwork.
We look forward to seeing you at The Great Frame Up for this exciting event!
