Call for Artists!

Holiday Pop-Up Art & Gift Gallery with Open Studios Boulder County and Longmont Artists' Guild

We’re excited to announce a unique opportunity for artists to showcase their work at the Holiday Pop-Up Art & Gift Gallery at the Feed Store Gallery in Niwot! This pop-up gallery is organized in collaboration with Open Studios Boulder County and the Longmont Artists' Guild. This event will bring together a diverse group of talented artists from both organizations, creating a vibrant and dynamic exhibition of 2D and 3D art.

The Holiday Pop-Up Art & Gift Gallery provides a platform for local artists to showcase their work during the holiday season, offering an opportunity for artists to connect with the community and potential buyers. The gallery will feature a total of 36 artists, with half selected from Open Studios Boulder County and the other half from the Longmont Artists' Guild.

Who can apply?
Open Studios and Longmont Artists’ Guild Members (must be a member at the time of application).

Fee: $25 entry fee / additional $25 when accepted to the event.

Commissions: 30% to the event (shared by OS & LAG) 70% to the artist.

Deadline to apply: October 31st at 11:59pm

Notification of acceptance: Accepted artists will by notified on November 8th, 2023

Drop off & Pick Up dates:
Drop off weekend of November 18th & 19th (times TBD)
Pick up during the week of January 1st - 5th (times TBD)

Gallery open dates:
Opening day: Friday, November 24th (Black Friday)
Closing day: Sunday, December 31st (New Year’s Eve)

• The gallery will be open every weekend (Thursday-Sunday) from November 24 - December 31st.
• Gallery hours will be announced at a later date.

Types of work accepted:

• 2D art (wall hanging) - artists can fill a space 5’ wide by 6’ tall, plus five (5) prints for bins and up to twenty (20) greeting cards.
• 3D art (pottery, sculpture) - artists can fill a table space up to 6’x3’
• Jewelry - approx 3’x2’

Selection process:

A total of 36 artists will participate. There will be 18 artists from each organization who will be invited to participate.

Applications will be juried by representatives from each organization.

Space is limited, and we will select artists based on the quality of work and the variety of artwork that will be for sale.

Volunteer hours are mandatory!

Participating artists will be required to work a minimum of three 4-hour shifts (12 hours total).

No exceptions. This is an artist-run gallery, so the artists must help keep the doors open.
